Paperpace is a subscription-based journal and visual note-taking application designed to help you organize your thoughts and creative work.
We offer two service tiers:
The service is provided on an "as-is" basis with no uptime guarantees or Service Level Agreements (SLA). We make our best effort to keep the service running smoothly, but cannot guarantee uninterrupted availability.
To use Paperpace, you must create an account by providing accurate and complete information, including a username, email address, and password.

You must be at least 13 years old to use Paperpace. Each person may only maintain one account.
Paperpace offers monthly subscription plans:
Paid subscriptions automatically renew each month unless canceled. Payment is processed through Stripe, our secure payment processor.
Pricing is subject to change. We reserve the right to modify our pricing at any time, with advance notice to existing subscribers (see Pricing Changes section below).
You can cancel your paid subscription at any time through your account settings. Your cancellation will take effect at the end of your current billing period.
Refund Policy: We offer pro-rated refunds for the unused portion of your subscription. If you cancel mid-month, you can request a refund for the remaining days. Contact help@paperpace.com to request a refund.
After Cancellation: If your account contains more content than the free tier allows:
Account Deletion: If you delete your account, all your content will be permanently removed from our servers within 30 days.
Your content belongs to you. You retain all intellectual property rights to any content you create, upload, or publish on Paperpace, including your notes, journals, images, and any other materials.
By using Paperpace, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to store and serve your content back to you. This license exists solely to provide the service to you. We make no claim to your creative work or intellectual property.
You are solely responsible for your content. You represent and warrant that:

Paperpace reserves the right to remove any content that violates these terms. Violations may result in warnings, content removal, temporary suspension, or permanent termination of your account, at our sole discretion.
We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any features or aspects of Paperpace at any time, with or without notice.
We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service. The service may experience downtime for:
Paperpace is provided on a best-effort basis with no specific uptime commitments or Service Level Agreements.
We reserve the right to change our subscription pricing at any time.
For existing paid subscribers, we will provide at least 30 days advance notice before any price changes take effect. Notice will be sent via email to the address associated with your account.
Your continued use of the service after the price change takes effect constitutes acceptance of the new pricing. If you do not agree to the new pricing, you may cancel your subscription before the change takes effect.
While we take reasonable measures to protect and back up data stored on Paperpace, you are ultimately responsible for maintaining your own backups of important content.
We provide export features to allow you to download your data for backup and portability purposes. We strongly recommend regularly exporting your content.
Paperpace is not liable for any data loss, corruption, or inaccessibility, regardless of the cause.
Paperpace uses third-party services to provide certain functionality:
Your use of these third-party services is subject to their respective terms of service and privacy policies. Paperpace is not responsible for the actions, policies, or service quality of these third parties.
Paperpace is provided "as-is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Paperpace and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, revenue, data, or use, arising from:
Our total liability to you for all claims arising from your use of Paperpace shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months prior to the event giving rise to the liability.
Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of certain warranties or liabilities, so some of the above limitations may not apply to you.
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Paperpace and its operators from any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from:
You may terminate your account at any time by deleting it through your account settings.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account and access to Paperpace at any time, with or without notice, for violations of these Terms of Service or for any other reason at our sole discretion.
Upon termination, your right to use Paperpace will immediately cease. All content associated with your account will be permanently deleted from our servers within 30 days of termination.
Any payment obligations incurred prior to termination will survive termination.
These Terms of Service are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Australia, without regard to its conflict of law principles.
Paperpace is operated from Japan and Australia, with infrastructure hosted in the United States. However, any disputes arising from these terms or your use of Paperpace shall be resolved in accordance with Australian law.
You agree that the Australian courts shall have exclusive jurisdiction to resolve any disputes arising from or relating to these terms or your use of the service.
Before pursuing any formal legal action, you agree to first attempt to resolve any disputes informally by contacting us at help@paperpace.com.
We will make good-faith efforts to resolve disputes amicably and quickly.
We may update these Terms of Service from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, legal requirements, or service features.
When we make changes, we will notify you by email (if you have an account) or by posting a notice on our website. For material changes, we may require you to explicitly accept the new terms before continuing to use the service.
Your continued use of Paperpace after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the revised terms.

These Terms of Service, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Paperpace regarding your use of the service and supersede all prior agreements and understandings.
